What antique farm tractors have continental engines?
I have an old tractor we are getting going. We dont know what kind it is but a friend told me we had a continental engine.

Is it necessary to shut the gas off on our old Farmall M tractor when we park it?
My grandpa(age86) always shuts the gas off on his old tractors, and my dad was taught the same thing. Now me & my dad are wondering do we really need to do that. Where does this idea come from?

Mustang Girl is almost there. It probably is 6 Volt, positive ground. If it has a battery, you will know if 6 or 12 volt. if not, look for a ballast resistor on the firewall. That would be in-line between the starter solenoid and the ignition switch or coil, to reduce voltage if changed to 12 volt negative ground.
