I have a jd 6420 farm tractor , the engine seems to miss when i press the trottle to 1500 rpm, any ideaS?

The tractor runs fine while standing , its a north american edition ,its a 2004

ignore the first guy he obviuosly thinks its a petrol not a deisel, it is most likely a blocked fuel filter as all agricultural machines suffer badly from it especially if using tax free red deisel as the dye blocks them up. can also check to see if the high pressure fuel hoses on the pump are leaking but to be honest problems like that also make it difficult to start

    Clean the carburetor, empty the gas and refill, change the spark plugs. That should do the trick mate.
