Does anyone know anything about Belarus Tractors?

Posted by admin in farm tractors on March 7th, 2009

I was thinking of buying one, and was wandering if anyone knows anything about Belarus farm tractors?
How dependable are they, what is the average hours an engine will last?

Belarus tractors are cheap and reliable, I would advise getting one with wet brakes though. They are generally basic but that can be a good thing. They have brilliant ground grip and strong engines. You can easily get 15000 hours out of an engine as long as you look after it. They are very dependable because they are designed to start even in the arctic circle. So cold starts aren’t a problem. We have a belarus 920 and it’s been nothing but good. I have leaflets if your interested.

I own 5 Ladas (Russian autos) and I find them very easy to run..Some of the farmers in my area also use Belarus tractors and seem content,,Don’t forget these are NOT luxury vehicles.
