What years did Sears garden tractors use the Briggs & Stratton twin 16 engine?

My entire backyard has a low grade slope and we've tried for days now to level it out by breaking some earth away using picks and shovels but we're breaking our backs since most of this desert earth is clay. We cannot use a skip loader or any other small tractor because none of our entry ways are big enough to pass one through. Please help, blistered hands and sore backs will be greatly appriciative…
If you can't get mechanized equipment in, you have troubles.
Ones I can completely sympathize with.
About the only thing I can think of is a couple of jack hammers and the widest bit they can find for you. A rental yard can rent you an electric one. They are rough to operate as well, but you will make more progress than with a pick and shovel.
Good luck!
I only have 3mths experience but I'm willing to do a 2wk training, etc. I tried Hogan, Interstate Distribution, Averitt, and Arnold. I really don't like manual transmissions semi trucks. If anybody know of any companies besides these, it would be a great help.
No offense here but if you can't handle an 18 spd you shouldn't be driving a truck, try a school bus instead. Automatics have their place but manuals are still the transmission of choice for most driving purposes, they are much safer as well and give greater fuel economy.
