i have a case 430
need help fast

Hey, I have a really old (1960's) Case tractor too. Got a flat in the shed last winter, and i had to change the tire on it myself (yes, the big back tire). blocked the tires, used a bottle jack and floor jack, got the rim loose, took off the tire, and then let the axle down to rest on a big oak stump. rolled the tire ( like as tall as my chest) to a place where i have a ledge in my yard where i could roll it into the back of my pick up truck.

Anyways, to answer your question, i dont have any links, but i would suggest going to a local feed store- we have a MFA here in MO that has an associated tractor/truck repair facility. I would check that out first. they might also have access to a rim or can fix the one you have. otherwise, if where you live is like where i am, drive around to farm implement dealers- used fields of rusty stuff type places and see if you can find one. GL. will edit my answer if i find links, but shipping would be crazy for something that big anyways.

where can i get current used farm tractor market values online???

Question about Yanmar farm tractors?

Posted by admin in farm tractors on February 21st, 2009

We recently bought a small 25 acre farm. The terrain is mostly flat with no major issues like rocks or dangerous slopes. The guy that I called about shredding the land wants $600 to do it one time. That price prompted us to think about buying our own tractor instead.

I found a used, 2-year-old Yanmar 2500, 2 x 4, 3 cylinder deisel tractor. It comes with a 5 foot shredder and also a front end loader. He wants $8000. He wants to upgrade to a 4 X 4.

My question is: Is this tractor big enough to handle our 25 acres? Or should I look for a 4 X 4? What does 2 X 4 and 4 X 4 mean?

First, 2×4 means it has four wheels and only two of them drive the tractor. Of course 4×4 means all four wheels drive the tractor. The four wheel drive is nice for hills, wet areas, snow, where additional traction is needed. It doesn't give the tractor more power, just more traction. If you are mowing flat, dry ground this sounds like a viable option. Note, if you find that you need more traction you can put tire chains on the drive wheels. Talk to the guy that is selling it, if he is above board he will tell you about the limitations of the tractor. Have him look at your property or bring the tractor over and demenstrate it.

when did production start and end for the farmall b 16 hp tractors.?

I believe the first year was 1939, and the last was 1947. They did not make any in 1943 due to war restrictions.
